About Us

The Lord Raglan
The Lord Raglan is a charming restored country pub on the outskirts of Staplehurst, nestled in the Kent countryside.
Steeped in character with it's rustic wooden beams and cosy open fires, it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the warmth of a traditional country pub.
We proudly serve hearty, homemade pub classics, that are lovingly prepared using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
Alongside our menu, you will find a fine selection of local ales, ciders, wines and spirits — all carefully chosen to complement your meal.
Whether you are joining us for a leisurely lunch, a comforting dinner, or simply a pint — by the fire in winter or the garden in summer, The Lord Raglan offers an authentic pub experience all year round.

Our Heritage
Nestled in the heart of the Kent countryside, The Lord Raglan takes its name from Lord Raglan, the distinguished British commander of the Crimean War.
Though its exact origins stretch beyond living memory, the pub has long stood as a cherished Staplehurst landmark, a welcoming haven where locals and travellers alike come together for hearty fare, good company and true English hospitality.
In 2025, The Lord Raglan embarked on an exciting new chapter, honouring its proud heritage, whilst embracing a bright and welcoming future.
